What We Do

Blankenship Consulting provides purpose-driven organizations of all sizes with customized executive management, operational support, and facilitated experiences. We specialize in interim CEO and fractional Executive Director services, executive recruiting, and retreat facilitation. We also help organizations assess and strengthen the systems, structures, and teams that power their mission.

Fractional CEO

Leadership transitions don't have to be a crisis — they can be an opportunity. Blankenship Consulting steps in as your fractional or interim Executive Director/CEO, providing steady, experienced leadership exactly when and how your organization needs it. Whether your board needs a trusted leader to keep operations running smoothly during a search, someone to implement meaningful change before a permanent hire, or ongoing fractional executive support without the cost of a full-time salary, we bring the expertise, composure, and mission-driven focus to move your organization forward with confidence. When the time comes to transition to permanent leadership, we'll have your organization positioned, prepared, and ready.

Consulting

Blankenship Consulting believes that a successful nonprofit navigates the organization’s path toward a sustainable future by creating an effective governance structure with strong leadership, sound legal and financial management policies, and a plan that ensures adequate resources and people to advance its mission. Here at Blankenship Consulting we provide consulting and coaching services that address various pain-points experienced by our nonprofit clients and help them position their organizations for future success.

Executive Recruiting

Finding the right leader can define the trajectory of your organization. Blankenship Consulting partners with nonprofit boards and search committees to identify, vet, and recruit executive talent that is the right fit — not just on paper, but in practice. We understand the unique demands of mission-driven leadership, and we bring the relationships, rigor, and sector expertise to help you find someone who will champion your mission, earn the trust of your stakeholders, and lead your organization forward with confidence.

Why Blankenship Consulting?

There is no shortage of consultants. What is harder to find is someone who genuinely understands the nonprofit sector from the inside out — who has sat in the chair, navigated the challenges, and knows firsthand what it takes to lead a mission-driven organization with limited resources, high expectations, and a community counting on you to deliver. That is what Blankenship Consulting brings to every engagement. With 15 years of nonprofit experience spanning executive leadership, recruiting, strategic planning, board development, and organizational operations, we don't offer generic solutions — we offer informed, customized partnership grounded in real-world nonprofit expertise. We work exclusively with nonprofit organizations because that is where our passion and experience live. When you work with Blankenship Consulting, you get a partner who is as invested in your mission as you are — and who brings the skills, perspective, and dedication to help you achieve it.

WHAT OTHERS SAY

During Jennifer's tenure our allied membership category has grown substantially to the point that it is the second highest of all twenty two California AIA chapters; she is primarily responsible for this success. Her skills are such that she merits consideration to be a director or an executive of an association. I recommend that she be given thoughtful and strong consideration for a position in association management, administration, sales, or marketing.

Jennifer Blankenship is organized, efficient, and delivers high-quality work products with grace and professionalism. I worked with her when I was President of the Yolo County chapter of the National Alliance on Mental Illness and would unequivocally hire her again to help further non-profit priorities or other work.
